We deploy caregivers in to the homes of clients to help them with activities of daily living. These are seniors who opt to remain in the comfort of their own homes rather than go to an assisted living facility or a nursing home.
Primarily, the caregiver assists in the personal care of the client like bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding and follow up exercises if ever there are any. The caregiver also makes it her responsibility to create a wholesome atmosphere surrounding the client by performing light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, changing the sheets in the client’s bed and doing some laundry.
In this case, there will be two caregivers assigned to your account. The primary caregiver will be with the client for five to six days and a reliever would come in to take over the primary caregiver’s days off. It is the agency’s aim to assign the same caregiver to the account. The purpose of which is to develop a relationship between the client and the caregiver wherein the client becomes familiar and comfortable with his/her caregiver hence trust and confidence is established.
Each one goes through an interview and thorough screening process. We also require fingerprinting to ensure that the caregivers we hire have no criminal record. Important traits we look for in our caregivers are compassion and a caring attitude towards our clients.
Our personal care assistants are trained to provide compassionate support with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility assistance. We understand the importance of maintaining independence and dignity, and our caregivers are here to lend a helping hand.
